Jeanette K Caines has launched her Queen Puabi Collection of hollow form dies. Now we can all make baubles and beads in the ancient Mesopotamian style that Queen Puabi rocked over 4000 years ago.
Wednesday, April 3 from 10 AM-6 PM (one hour lunch break)
“Join me to learn the ancient art of die making hollow beads. It’s easier than you think using my specially crafted dies!
I’ve been working on this reclamation of ancient technology project for the last three years and my brand new, hollow-form dies are ready to bring public.
I will teach you how to use them to make gorgeous hollow beads and forms, just as the ancient goldsmiths did.
You may use copper, sterling, Argentium, fine silver and, of course, 22K gold in 26-30 guage (thinner is better!) Urban Metal Studio has rolling mills if you have thicker metal that you need to make thinner.”

In the unlikely event an instructor needs to cancel a workshop you will have the choice to receive a full refund, to stay enrolled for the new dates, or to keep your money on account for other workshops, classes or casting service. You will be contacted by email as soon as possible for these arrangements.
If you need to cancel: Due to our very narrow margin on this workshop we will not be able to issue refunds if, after registering, you find you can’t attend. You will be able to apply your funds on account to other workshops, classes or private lessons on a wide variety of topics.
A Note about Accommodations:
Winter is high season in sunny Arizona and hotel availability and rates are higher than the rest of the year. If you are traveling for this workshop, we recommend booking well in advance and checking out Airbnb, VRBO or the like for more affordable options.
